The Builders and the Butchers – Black Dresses

Credit goes to naturalbeardy, a great folk blog, for this one.

“Black Dresses” is one of those great folk foot stompers I can’t help but like. They’re a Porland band, too, which only further endears me to them. Lead by Ryan Sollee (no relation to Ben Sollee) whose giant voice could rival that of the Avett Brothers, they apparently have an utterly insane live show. While something tells me they won’t be coming to Columbus anytime soon, I’d sure like to see them.

They’ve got a bunch of albums out alright, though their newest Dead Reckoning comes out the 22nd (probably today when you’re reading this) on Badman Recording.
